Everything you need to know about using DropCue — from uploading your first track to running your full pitching workflow.
Your home base shows total plays, downloads, active shares, and track count at a glance. The plays chart shows listening trends over the last 14 days. Recent Activity surfaces plays and downloads in real time. Quick-access cards jump you to your latest playlists, and the Inbox widget flags pending submissions if you have active drop requests.
Upload audio files (MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC) and video (MP4, MOV, WebM on Pro). BPM and key are auto-detected. Embedded metadata and artwork are pulled from the file. Click a track to edit details: artist, genre, mood, instruments, writer splits, PRO, IPI, ISRC, and notes. Bulk actions let you edit metadata, find & replace titles, apply writers and publishers, nest stems, and copy parent metadata down to children across many tracks at once.
Build a playlist, drop tracks in, group them into sections (Action Cues, Emotional, Drone, etc.), and attach documents like cue sheets or contracts. Upload custom artwork to brand each playlist for a specific client. Pin timestamped notes to tracks for internal review. Set audio snippets to highlight the best section of a track so recipients hear exactly what you want.
Share any playlist via a branded link with optional password, expiration date, and download controls. Recipients open the player in their browser. You see who opened the link, which tracks they played, how long they listened, and where they were located. Comments and timestamped feedback come back to you in real time.
Create a public drop link to receive music submissions. Composers, artists, and clients can upload to your inbox without needing a DropCue account. Submissions land organized in your inbox where you can review, tag, accept, or move tracks into playlists for further work.
Organize playlists into channels and folders in the sidebar. Use folders for project groupings or client folders. Drag and drop playlists between them. Right-click any sidebar item for quick actions like rename, duplicate, view analytics, or delete.
Build a hosted EPK at dropcue.app/p/your-name with your bio, featured tracks, video reel, credits, photos, and contact info. Customize colors and artwork to match your brand. Use it for supervisor pitches, label outreach, festival applications, and journalist contacts. Analytics show exactly who viewed your EPK and what they engaged with.
