For music schools & faculty

Teach the business side
on the platform pros use.

DropCue is the platform working composers, music libraries and publishers use to organize their catalogs, pitch music and see who listened. Partner programs get a free semester of Pro for their students and free accounts for faculty.

Free for the school · Students: free semester, then 50% off monthly Pro for 9 months

How it works

  1. Email us. Send your program's name to marc@dropcue.app. We set up your code and faculty accounts.
  2. Share the code. Students sign up free at dropcue.app and enter the code on their Billing page.
  3. Use it in class. Collect assignments, give timestamped feedback and build student portfolios.

Free for the school. No catch.

  • A free semester for students. Students in the program get 3 months of DropCue Pro free with your program's code.
  • Then 50% off monthly Pro. The same code takes monthly Pro from $19 to $9.50 for 9 months, applied automatically.
  • Free faculty accounts. For as long as you teach in the program, with Inbox links for hand-ins and timestamped feedback.
  • DropCue University for faculty. Our course on the business of sync, a reference for licensing, publishing, PROs and pitching.

A clean catalog, the way libraries expect it.

Students learn to keep their music the way the industry does: proper titles, writers, splits, moods and keywords on every track. AI tagging fills in a first pass, they correct it, and the whole catalog becomes searchable.

A professional portfolio, not a folder of files.

Each student builds a portfolio page to send to directors, studios, supervisors and artists. Their share links show who listened, which tracks they played and for how long, so they learn to pitch and follow up like working composers.

Hand-ins and feedback in one place.

Create an Inbox link for an assignment and every student's submission lands in one list. Listen in the browser and leave timestamped comments on the exact second you mean. Build a program portfolio of your best student work to share with alumni and prospective students.

Common questions from faculty

Is DropCue free for music students?

Students in a partner program get a free semester (3 months) of DropCue Pro with their school's code. After that, the same code gives them 50% off monthly Pro for 9 months: $9.50 a month instead of $19. Students sign up free at dropcue.app and enter the code on their Billing page, and the discount is applied automatically when they upgrade.

What do faculty get?

Free DropCue accounts for as long as they teach in the program, set up by us. Faculty accounts include Inbox links for collecting student work, timestamped comments for feedback, portfolio pages for showcasing the program, and DropCue University, our course on the business of sync: licensing, publishing, PROs and pitching music supervisors.

How do teachers collect assignments and give feedback in DropCue?

Create an Inbox link for the assignment and share it with the class. Students upload their cues, songs or mixes to it, and every submission lands in one place instead of email attachments and file-sharing links. Listen in the browser and leave timestamped comments on the exact moment you mean.
