How it works

  1. Upload your work. Drag in mixes and masters as WAV, AIFF, FLAC or MP3, and add your bio and credits once.
  2. Build a showreel per client. Group tracks into playlists by genre or client type and lay them out on your portfolio.
  3. Send tracked links. Give each prospect their own link and see what they played and downloaded.

Your signature sound, on one page.

Your best work, bio and a credits section on a page with your own banner and colors. Lay it out as showreels, one playlist per genre or client type, and visitors can search it and filter by tag. Run up to 10 portfolios on one account for different kinds of work.

Lead with the best part. Know who listened.

Set a snippet so a track starts at the moment you want heard, and pin a timestamped note that says what to listen for. Give every prospect their own link, then see views, plays and downloads by recipient before you follow up.

Revisions and delivery on the same link.

Clients leave timestamped notes on the waveform, no account needed. Replace the audio for each pass and the link and earlier notes stay put. When it is signed off, nest the alts and stems under each song and switch downloads on.

Common questions from engineers

How do mix engineers show their work to new clients?

Build a portfolio page with your best mixes and masters, a bio and a credits section, and group the tracks into playlists, for example one per genre or type of client. Send each prospect their own tracked link and you see who opened it, which tracks they played and what they downloaded. Portfolios are on Pro, and one account can run up to 10 of them.

How do mix engineers send revisions to clients?

Most engineers email a WeTransfer or Dropbox link for every pass, then collect notes in a long email thread. On DropCue you put the mix in a private playlist and send one link. The client streams it in the browser, no account needed. When the next pass is ready, replace the audio on the same track: the link, the playlist entry and the earlier comments all stay where they were, so the client opens the same link and hears the new mix.

Can I deliver the final master, instrumental and stems on one link?

Yes. Nest the instrumental, clean, a cappella, TV mix and stems under the main track, and the client sees one song they can expand to get every version. Turn downloads on for that link and they can grab the original WAV, AIFF or FLAC you uploaded, or an MP3, one track at a time or the whole playlist at once.

How much does DropCue cost for mix and mastering engineers?
