Email Campaigns for Music Professionals on DropCue

Email Campaigns for Music Professionals

Sharing playlists one link at a time works — until you have 500 contacts and a new release to announce. That's why DropCue now includes built-in email campaigns for Pro users.

No third-party email tool. No CSV exports. No copy-pasting links. Everything happens inside DropCue, right next to your playlists and contacts.

How It Works

1. Choose a Template Pick from professionally designed email templates — dark-themed, mobile-responsive, and built for music. Each template includes your DropCue branding and a clean layout for your message.

2. Write Your Message Add a subject line and body text. Use merge tags like `{{first_name}}` to personalize each email. The live preview updates as you type, so you see exactly what recipients will get.

3. Select Your Audience Send to all contacts, filter by tag, or hand-pick individual recipients. If you've tagged contacts by role (supervisor, publisher, agency) or by project, you can target exactly the right people.

4. Send or Schedule Hit send immediately, or pick a date and time. Scheduled campaigns are sent automatically within 5 minutes of the scheduled time — no need to be at your computer.

Real-Time Analytics

Every campaign tracks:

  • Delivered — confirmed inbox delivery
  • Opened — how many recipients opened the email
  • Clicked — link clicks within the email
  • Bounced — invalid addresses or delivery failures

Stats update automatically every 30 seconds after sending, so you can watch results come in live. Each recipient shows their individual status (delivered, opened, clicked, bounced) alongside the campaign totals.

Limits and Availability

  • Up to 2,000 recipients per campaign — enough for most independent publishers and sync agencies
  • Unlimited campaigns per month — send as often as you need
  • Available on all Pro plans (Pro 1K through Pro 20K)
  • Not available on Starter — upgrade to Pro to unlock campaigns

Why Build It Into DropCue?

Most music professionals already manage their contacts in DropCue. They tag contacts by role, import from CSV, and track who's listening to which playlists. Adding email campaigns means you can go from "I have a new playlist" to "500 supervisors just got an email about it" without leaving the app.

No Mailchimp. No ConvertKit. No exporting contact lists. One tool for sharing music playlists professionally, tracking, and promoting your music.

Use Cases

  • New release announcement — "Hey {{first_name}}, here's our latest catalog additions for April"
  • Playlist push — share a curated playlist with a specific audience segment
  • Catalog updates — let your contact list know about new AI features, stem packs, or video uploads
  • Follow-up campaigns — re-engage contacts who haven't opened your playlists recently. See how to follow up after a music pitch for the timing and messaging that works.

Getting Started

1. Navigate to Campaigns in the sidebar 2. Click New Campaign 3. Choose a template, write your message, select recipients 4. Preview on desktop and mobile 5. Send now or schedule for later

That's it. Your contacts get a branded, professional email. You get real-time delivery and engagement data.
