Professional Music Sharing

Professional Music Sharing for Composers, Publishers and Sync Teams

Professional music sharing means streaming audio in the browser, per-recipient listen analytics, playlist sections, timestamped feedback, and branded URLs. Not a Dropbox folder. DropCue is the platform built for it. From $5 per month with annual billing.

Streaming without downloading

Recipients hear your music in the browser immediately. No zip file, no folder to navigate, no app to install. The audio streams directly from a branded link. This matters for sync pitching because the friction of downloading a zip from a Dropbox link is real — supervisors who already have 30 pitches to evaluate this week will skip the one that asks them to do file management before they even hear a note.

Per-recipient listen analytics

Know who played which track, how long they listened, and whether they came back. Actionable intelligence for every pitch and every follow-up. Without per-recipient analytics, every follow-up email is a guess about who actually engaged with the playlist. With analytics, the follow-up is targeted to the supervisors who played a full track, came back for a second listen, or downloaded a stem.

Playlist sections

Organize tracks into named sections within a single playlist. A 12-track pitch playlist might have a "Hybrid Action" section, a "Dramatic Underscore" section, and an "Aerial / Inspirational" section. Sections give the supervisor a navigable structure rather than 12 tracks in a flat list. For sync pitches with diverse cue requirements, sections turn a playlist into a curated pitch.

Branded share links

Replace the generic platform URL with your name or library name. The recipient sees your brand at the top of the share page, your logo if uploaded, and your contact info in the footer. Sync pitches and A&R demos are positioning exercises as much as music delivery, and a polished branded share page from a working composer or library carries different weight than a Dropbox link even when the underlying audio is identical.

Timestamped feedback

Supervisors leave comments pinned to exact waveform positions. "Snare too loud" at 1:42. "Land the hit on the logo" at 0:42. No more decoding vague feedback emails. The composer sees pins on the waveform, the comment text on hover or click, and the playback auto-scrolls each comment into view as the timecode passes its pin. See how timestamped feedback works for the deep dive.

Music-specific metadata

BPM, key, ISRC, alternate mix grouping, mood tags, instrumentation, and custom searchable fields. DropCue auto-extracts BPM and key from uploaded audio files when possible and lets you bulk-edit metadata across tracks. ALT mix grouping links the 30-second edit, the instrumental, the no-drums version, and the full mix into one searchable unit so a supervisor can find the right cut without your library duplicating files.

Confidentiality controls

Password-protected share links, link expiration dates, and download controls on every plan. Streaming-only by default for pre-release material. Download-allowed for trusted collaborators. See the full deep dive at Private Music Sharing.
