Composer
Composer William Malcolm Jones was brought up in the Dulais Valley in South Wales. His early life was emersed in Welsh Chapel , Hymn singing, Camanfa Ganu where he sang solo as a boy soprano.. When he was seven his mother took him to the local carnival where he heard and fell in love with his local brass band. At fifteen years of age he joined the Welsh Guards Band and attended the Junior Musicians Wing Pirbright, then the Royal Military School of Music Kneller Hall. He later studied composition under Arthur Butterworth and holds an (Hons) degree from Sheffield University. He has been involved with Brass Bands, Military Bands, Big Bands and Orchestras he is also a Jazz Trombonist. He is an award winning published composer. His music is narrative in its nature and fetches great emotion to film. William is known for his subtlety in scoring.
