I direct and edit short films, documentaries and brand work about people at the edge of a change. I grew up in Duluth, Minnesota, and came to Los Angeles to cut trailers before I started making my own films. Most of my work starts in the edit. I shoot small, often with a crew of four, and find the film in the footage rather than in the script. My short Saltwater Hours played festivals across the US and Europe in 2025, and I cut the feature documentary The Long Quiet. I also direct brand films and music videos for people who want them to feel like cinema, not ads. I grade most of my own work in Resolve. I am currently developing my first feature.
